Kind Strangers Volunteer to Fix an Elderly Man’s Roof After Spotting Him Trying to Repair it Himself

Having a sturdy roof over your head is one of the most important things in the world. We are proud to be a Dallas-area contractor who participates in giving roof replacements to deserving veterans and their families. It is heart warming to see other communities coming together in similar ways to help those in need. Even though this story is a few years old, it is a great example of generosity.

An older gentleman's neighbor noticed he was trying to replace his roofing shingles by himself one afternoon. This can be dangerous for anyone without the proper equipment, so thank God he was noticed! After the help of some social media posts, an army of volunteers came to his rescue and completed the repairs he needed from the damage that was caused by a recent storm damage.

According to local news station KTVU, Dubiel had been working for the past three months on his own before the kindness of strangers helped get the job done. He wanted to prepare the roof, which had started to cave in, for El Niño's rain and strong winds.
